About Us

Mission

City Living Detroit is a non-profit, 501(c)(6) organization that promotes Detroit as a vibrant urban center by providing resources that encourage people to live in the city.

About us

City Living Detroit was established by five young professionals who are inspired and passionate about the ongoing revitalization of the city. The founding members were encourage by the magnitude of the housing development occurring in Detroit and wanted to create a source to provide information to the public and encourage people to live in the city.

The City Living Detroit website (www.citylivindetroit.com) was launched August 2004 to promote new housing developments throughout the city, and neighborhoods as well as provide information on mortgage and real estate companies.
CityLivingDetroit.com currently averages 20,000 - 30,000 unique hits per month.

Events

Housing Fairs – City Living Detroit produces an annual housing fair that brings together developers, real estate agents, financial institutions, mortgage companies and non-profit organizations to educate the public on living in the city and the great things that are happening.

  • City Life, City Living 2004 (August 27, 28) - 2,000 attendees

Home Tours – City Living Detroit organizes bus tours throughout the city to showcase housing developments.

  • September 29, 2005 – Five Midtown Development Projects
    Garden Lofts at Brush Park, Carlton Condominiums, Mid-Med Lofts, The Park Shelton, Art Center Town Homes
  • In 2006 City Living Detroit will host home tours for developments throughout the city beginning with the weekend of the City Living Expo (March 11 and 12) and continue once a month from May – October. 

Magazine – City Living Detroit publishes a magazines annually that highlights developments in Detroit and profiles local businesses through advertising and editorials. The magazine is released in conjunction with the housing fair and is distributed throughout the year.
