Athina Papas is a owner of Mosaic in Greektown. Previously, she gained extensive management experience as Director of Revenue Management for the Atheneum Suite Hotel. She has directed profitable growth through marketing strategies and plans, advertising, the company website, and communication with Summit Hotels and Resorts. Within her duties and responsibilities as a sales manager she has worked with various professional sports teams, entertainment groups, entertainers, and corporations to plan and organize meetings and events at the hotel and various venues in Metro Detroit. Additionally, she has had extensive sales training through Indecorp at various seminars and training sessions in different international locations. Ms. Papas graduated with a degree in organizational studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Upon completing her B.A. she began working as an account executive for Atlarge, Inc., a local Internet company, calling on and servicing Fortune 500 accounts. Ms. Papas grew up in the Metro Detroit area. She and her family have lived in Grosse Pointe for the past 25 years and work in the city of Detroit. Ms. Papas has chosen to be involved with City Living Detroit because she realizes that the city has great potential. She believes that the younger people, like those involved in City Living Detroit, are key to Detroit's future growth and prosperity. Ms. Papas is eager to do her part to make Detroit a thriving metropolis.
