Scott Lipinski was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. He spent his childhood in Royal Oak as well as Sterling Heights, Michigan. He attended De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, Michigan. Upon graduation, he enrolled at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. In addition to his degree in Microbiology, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters of Urban Planning. Subsequent to graduating, he acquired a job as an Associate Commercial Real Estate appraiser at Allen & Associates in Birmingham, MI, where he worked until August 2004. In August 2004, he left Allen & Associates to work as a Real Estate Analyst for CB Richard Ellis in Southfield, Michigan. Currently Scott is a homeowner in Hamtramck, MI, where he is involved in several civic related functions. Scott has served on Hamtramck's Planning Commission. Currently he is a member of Hamtramck's Downtown Development Authority. Scott's involvement with City Living Detroit evolved from his appreciation for historic preservation and the built environment. He has a strong interest in government and politics and is very knowledgeable of the intricate factors involved in assessing the value of both commercial and residential real estate. Scott's distinctive background in both the biological and social sciences give him a unique perspective on what impact today's decision will have on present and future generations.
